Browsing through an offer catalog in search of the next niche is one of the most time-consuming tasks for an affiliate publisher. You open the panel, filter, compare EPC, check landing pages, go back to the filters, start over. Two hours later you have a list of 10 offers and still don't know which one to start with.

AI can do the same thing in a few minutes - as long as you know how to guide it. In this article, I'll show you a concrete workflow that takes you from a loose niche idea to a ready campaign strategy in 30 minutes. With prompts to copy and examples of outputs you can get today.

Why manual niche research is inefficient

The problem with manual research isn't a lack of data - the MyLead panel contains thousands of offers with full statistics. The problem is that the human brain processes that data sequentially and superficially. You browse offer after offer, evaluate each one through the lens of the last campaigns you remember, and unconsciously avoid niches that look "unfamiliar."

The result? Most publishers go around in circles through the same few niches they already know. Nutra, dating, finance - over and over. Meanwhile, the catalog is full of offers with solid EPC, low competition, and non-obvious target audiences, just waiting for someone to notice them.

AI doesn't have these limitations. It processes in parallel, has no bias, and doesn't get bored after the twentieth offer in a row.

What AI can do for you when analyzing offers

Before we get to the workflow, an important disclaimer: AI doesn't have direct access to the MyLead panel. You work in a copy-paste model - you export data or copy offer descriptions, paste them into AI, and ask questions. It's still radically faster than manual analysis, because AI processes large chunks of text instantly and draws conclusions you wouldn't notice on a first pass.

What AI can specifically do:

  • Compare dozens of offers at once and identify those with the best ratio of EPC to niche competitiveness

  • Identify undervalued target audiences for offers that look straightforward at first glance

  • Generate hypotheses about why a given niche might be underestimated by other publishers

  • Create a preliminary campaign strategy - traffic sources, creative format, communication angle

  • Assess seasonality and suggest the optimal timing to enter a niche

AI Research Assistant – workflow

Workflow step by step - 30 minutes from idea to strategy

Step 1: Define your area of interest (2 minutes)

Before you open AI, answer three questions for yourself: What traffic sources do you have available? In which niches do you already have any historical data? Are you looking for something new, or do you want to expand what's already working?

These answers are the context you'll paste at the beginning of every AI conversation. Without them, you'll get generic recommendations. With them - recommendations tailored to your specific situation.

Step 2: Export data from MyLead and prepare your input (5 minutes)

From the MyLead panel, export a list of offers from the area that interests you - or simply copy the names, categories, and EPC of a dozen or so offers that initially catch your attention. You don't need to export everything - 15-30 offers is enough as a starting point.

If you don't know where to begin, just copy the top 30 offers from a category you haven't tried yet.

Step 3: Run the initial analysis (5 minutes)

Open ChatGPT or Claude and paste the prompt below, filling in the details in square brackets:

PROMPT 1 - Initial offer analysis:

You are an affiliate marketing expert. Below I'm pasting a list of offers from the MyLead affiliate network along with their EPC and category. My context:- Available traffic sources: [e.g. Facebook Ads, SEO, email marketing]- My experience: [e.g. 2 years in affiliate marketing, mainly nutra and finance]- I'm looking for: [e.g. new niches with low competition or expansion of existing campaigns]List of offers:[paste the offers copied from the MyLead panel]Based on the above:1. Identify 3-5 offers with the greatest potential for my profile and explain why.2. Identify offers that may be undervalued by other publishers and explain what makes them stand out.3. Suggest one non-obvious target audience for each of the selected offers.

Step 4: Deepen the analysis of selected offers (8 minutes)

Based on the output from step 3, choose 1-2 offers that interested you most. Now ask AI detailed questions about each one.

PROMPT 2 - Detailed offer analysis:

Let's focus on this offer: [offer name, category, EPC].Analyze this offer from the following angles:1. TARGET AUDIENCE - Who is the most likely converter? - What are their problems, needs, and motivations? - Where do they spend time online?2. NICHE COMPETITIVENESS - What are the typical traffic sources in this niche? - Where might it be least crowded? - Which communication angles are probably already burned out?3. SEASONALITY - Does this niche have clear seasonality? - What is the optimal timing to enter?4. RED FLAGS - What are the typical conversion problems in this category of offers? - What should I watch out for when choosing this offer?

Step 5: Generate a preliminary campaign strategy (10 minutes)

You now have an analysis of the niche and the offer. Time to put it together into a ready strategy.

PROMPT 3 - Campaign strategy:

Based on the analysis above, create a preliminary affiliate campaign strategy for the offer [offer name].The strategy should include:1. COMMUNICATION ANGLE - Main hook (one sentence that will stop the user) - 3 different angles to test in creatives - What to avoid in communication (burned-out patterns)2. TRAFFIC SOURCES - Recommended primary source and why - Alternative source as a backup - Creative format suited to each source3. TARGETING - Primary target segment (demographics + interests) - One non-obvious segment to test4. TEST BUDGET - Suggested budget for the testing phase - Key metrics to monitor in the first week - The threshold beyond which scaling makes sense5. FIRST STEPS - What to do in the next 48 hours to launch this campaign

Sample analysis - illustration of AI output

The following example is hypothetical and serves as an illustration of what AI output might look like. The numbers are for example purposes only.

A publisher with experience in nutra and access to Facebook Ads pasted 20 offers from the "health and beauty" category. AI identified the most undervalued offer as a sleep supplement - not because it had the highest EPC, but because:

  • The "sleep" category has significantly less competition than "weight loss" at a similar EPC

  • The target audience (35-55 years old, employed, high stress levels) is precisely targetable on Facebook

  • Seasonality favors entering in the autumn, when the topic of sleep returns to public discussion

  • Most creatives in this niche use the "fall asleep faster" angle - the untested angle "sleep quality = life quality" appeals to a more aware segment

The output from the strategy prompt took 4 minutes and included a ready hook, 3 angles to test, a targeting recommendation, and a suggested test budget. The publisher had a complete action plan before their coffee was finished.

How to identify undervalued offers - what to look for

AI is good at finding patterns, but you need to know what to look for. A few signals worth including in your prompts:

  • High EPC with low offer popularity - may indicate that few publishers are promoting it because it looks "non-obvious," not because it doesn't work

  • A niche with growing search trends - ask AI to assess whether the offer category fits into any broader market trend (AI has knowledge of trends up to its training date)

  • Offers with a narrow, precise target audience - easier to target, harder to burn through budget on uninterested users

  • Categories avoided by "mainstream" affiliates - if everyone is in weight loss and loans, check what's happening in pet insurance, senior products, or B2B niches

AI Research Assistant – identifying undervalued offers

Most common mistakes in AI research

  1. A prompt that's too vague and lacks context. "Find me a good affiliate offer" is the worst possible prompt. AI doesn't know your traffic sources, budget, or experience. The more context, the better the analysis. If you care about prompt quality, it's worth reaching for dedicated tools - plugins and apps like Pretty Prompts or Prompt Cowboy help you build better-structured queries and get more out of AI than the average user.

  2. Accepting AI output without verification. AI can be wrong about details - especially when it comes to current market data and the specifics of particular programs. Treat the output as a hypothesis to verify, not a ready-made truth.

  3. Analysis without a decision. Research is just a tool. Publishers who spend three hours on AI analysis and don't launch any campaign lose time twice - time on research and time they could have spent collecting real data.

  4. Ignoring red flags from Prompt 2. AI points out potential problems because that's what you ask it to do. If a prompt returns several serious concerns about an offer - take them seriously, not optimistically.

  5. One-time research instead of a process. The market changes. Offers that were undervalued six months ago may be saturated today. Set yourself an AI research cycle once every 4-6 weeks and treat it as a regular part of your work, not a one-off event.

Summary - 30-minute workflow checklist

  • I've defined my context: traffic sources, experience, research goal

  • I've exported or copied 15-30 offers from the MyLead panel

  • I've run Prompt 1 and received a list of recommended offers with reasoning

  • I've selected 1-2 offers for in-depth analysis and run Prompt 2

  • I've generated a campaign strategy using Prompt 3

  • I've verified the AI output against real data in the MyLead panel

  • I have a concrete action plan for the next 48 hours

  • I've set a reminder for the next research round in 4-6 weeks
