How did it start?
In March 2021, we started cooperation with AleRabat - a Polish website that aggregates codes and promotions from several thousand online stores. The client came to us on his own with the desire to start affiliate activities, and his main goal was to promote the browser extension.
The client did not have an affiliate program before, so he did not provide us with any data from the affiliate activities carried out so far. The lack of this kind of information posed a challenge. We could not rely on his previous experience when preparing the affiliate program.
What's more, when cooperating with MyLead, the advertiser began working with one more partner, which could have had a major impact on the subsequent willingness to continue cooperation or discontinue it, if the results of the competition turned out to be better.
Due to the fact that these were the client's first steps with affiliate marketing, the affiliate program was prepared from scratch, and the technical integration took place with our help. The client received all the necessary documentation, along with a complete set of information about the signals that he should have sent and received from us at the time of the conversion. We also provided examples of properly configured integration, which made the process of joining the client to our network seamless.
Terms of cooperation
Our client's goal was to encourage as many users as possible to download and install the browser extension, which is why we offered him an affiliate program in the PPI (Pay Per Install) model.
The rate for the publisher in this program is PLN 3.54. There is also a commission per lead paid to the affiliate network as a transaction intermediary. The quoted rate is therefore not the final amount paid by the advertiser. There is no cap in the campaign, i.e. a limit of leads that can be obtained in a specific time period.
The campaign is targeted at users from Poland. Even less advanced users can join the program, and obtaining access is not associated with particularly difficult conditions to meet. At the same time, it is worth noting that many users are not granted access. The decision to deny access always has positive effects for the advertiser, whose chance of receiving low-quality traffic decreases.
Before the promotion starts, users are informed about their preferred advertising channels. The following are prohibited:
- motivated movement,
- push ads,
- mobile traffic,
- adult content,
- duplicate leads from the same IP,
- Google Ads campaigns.
During the program, we noticed an increased number of frauds generated by publishers promoting the campaign on Discord. Users sent each other links to the extension and encouraged each other to generate conversions. Out of concern for the good of the client, we proposed to exclude this method of promotion as well. Currently, this prohibition is included in the campaign restrictions.

Activities aimed at promoting the program among publishers
In order for a publisher to be interested in the offer, they must first hear about it. It was therefore on our side to notify users using our platform about the appearance of a new campaign.
For this purpose, we conducted a free promotional campaign, which included:
- sending a notification in the user panel,
- posting a message in a private group on Discord,
- publication of information in the News section in the user panel,
- publication of a new thread on Polish-language forums in official MyLead topics,
- sending a dedicated mailing to users,
- placing a banner on the dashboard in the user panel,
- sending SMS,
- posting on Facebook and Instagram.
How did the cooperation go?
With each client, we individually choose the way of contact so that it is as convenient as possible for the other party. We communicated with the representative of AleRabat by email.
The persons responsible for this client were our affiliate managers, Paweł and Tomasz, who took care of the program, took care of good relations with the client and regulated financial matters.
Together with the client, we agreed that the validation will take place on the 15th of the month and will cover the leads from the previous month. This information has been made public and can be found in the campaign description.
One of the dedicated managers deals with the issue of accepting leads generated by users. After checking the leads and rejecting frauds, he prepares a report that is made available to the client. Its task is to confirm the correctness of the submitted report and send the funds, which then go to the publishers' accounts.
At the time of preparation of this case study, two years have passed since the start of activities aimed at acquiring new users of the browser extension. The implementation of the affiliate program made it possible to achieve this goal.
Throughout the duration of our cooperation, we acquired 2,302 interested publishers, who generated a total of over 38,000 conversions (as of March 2023). The average conversion rate in the campaign is around 15%.
One user only, in the period from January 1, 2023 to March 14, 2023 generated nearly 1,000 conversions.
